The Children's Advocacy Center hosted its annual Hope, Healing and Help Breakfast this week, bringing together community members, donors and local officials to announce a series of new initiatives aimed at combating child sexual abuse.

During the event, center leaders outlined plans to expand therapeutic services for young survivors, including additional counseling sessions and specialized trauma care. The organization also introduced new education programs designed to reach schools and community groups with prevention training and awareness materials.

Staff members described the past year as one of significant growth, noting an increase in the number of children and families served. They credited much of that progress to stronger partnerships with law enforcement, child protective services and medical providers who work together on abuse investigations and follow-up care.

Speakers at the breakfast shared stories about the impact of the center's work, emphasizing that early intervention can make a lasting difference in a child's recovery. Organizers said the event also serves as a key fundraiser, helping cover costs that insurance often does not, such as forensic interviews and family support services.

Center officials said they plan to hire additional staff and extend outreach into more rural areas in the coming months. They encouraged local businesses and volunteers to get involved, whether through donations, sponsorship or simply spreading the word about available resources. The organization said its goal is to ensure every child in the region has access to a safe, supportive place to heal.
