Indiana American Water Invests in Youth Environmental Education
September 4, 2025 - 03:57
On Wednesday, September 3, Indiana American Water representatives visited the Dunes Learning Center in Porter to present a generous donation of $15,000. This contribution is aimed at supporting the center's ongoing commitment to environmental education for youth in the region.
The Dunes Learning Center, a nonprofit organization, has been instrumental in providing a variety of environmental educational programs since its inception. These programs are designed to engage young people with nature, fostering a sense of stewardship and responsibility towards the environment.
The funding from Indiana American Water will enhance the center's existing initiatives and expand its outreach, allowing more students to participate in hands-on learning experiences. By investing in the education of future generations, the company is not only promoting environmental awareness but also encouraging the development of informed citizens who can contribute to sustainable practices in their communities.
This partnership underscores the importance of collaboration between local organizations and utility companies in nurturing a healthier environment for all.
