Jefferson Township Schools Add 20 New Staff Members for the Fall Term

Jefferson Township schools have welcomed 20 new staff members this fall, filling a range of roles across the district. The group includes classroom teachers, counselors, a social worker and several new administrators.

District officials said the hires reflect a push to strengthen student support services and keep class sizes manageable. Several of the new teachers will work in elementary grades, while others will join middle and high school departments. The counselors and social worker are expected to focus on student mental health and academic planning.

Administrators said the hiring process drew a strong pool of applicants. They noted that finding qualified staff in certain subject areas remains difficult, a challenge many districts face. The new employees took part in orientation sessions before the school year began, covering curriculum, safety procedures and district policies.

Officials added that mentoring programs will pair each new hire with an experienced staff member during their first year. The district plans to review staffing levels again in the spring to prepare for the next school year.
