Judo Education Continues in Lima

On Monday, August 17th, the Peruvian Judo Federation organized a key educational gathering at the Videna Sports Complex in Lima, Peru. The event, an International Refereeing Seminar for the Panamerican Region, took place in the window between the Lima Grand Prix and the upcoming Guayaquil World Championships Cadets. This timing allowed officials and referees to sharpen their skills while top-level competition was still fresh in the region.

The seminar focused on the latest rule interpretations and consistency in officiating, with a strong emphasis on practical application. Participants reviewed match footage, discussed edge cases, and took part in live scenario drills. The goal was to ensure that referees across the Panamerican area are fully aligned with international standards before the cadet world championships begin in Ecuador. Local organizers highlighted the importance of hosting such events in South America, noting that it gives national referees direct access to high-level instruction without needing to travel far.
