Education officials in Wisconsin are pushing for a significant investment in digital defenses for public schools. The Department of Public Instruction has outlined a plan that would direct more than $6 million over a two year period toward cybersecurity improvements across the state's school districts.

The proposal comes as schools face a growing wave of digital threats.
