GREEN RIVER — Students at Harrison Elementary School had the opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of science during an event organized by their STEM teacher, Julie Burgess. Titled "Magnetic Minds, Electric Ideas and Materials Science," this engaging event took place on March 29 and aimed to spark curiosity among young learners through interactive, hands-on activities.
Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of innovative experiences designed to enhance their understanding of scientific concepts. One of the highlights included creating paper circuits, where students learned about electricity and conductivity in a fun and engaging way. Additionally, they had the chance to construct foam structures, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving skills.
The event was a resounding success, with students expressing excitement and enthusiasm as they explored the principles of science in a practical setting. By fostering a love for STEM education, Harrison Elementary is paving the way for future innovators and critical thinkers.
