Each year, the Clark County School District (CCSD) commemorates Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) to inspire students to engage with computer science, promote equity in education, and recognize the vital contributions of students, educators, and community partners in this dynamic field. This year’s theme, “Looking Back, Leaping Forward,” encourages learners of all ages to explore the world of computer science in innovative and meaningful ways.
Throughout CSEdWeek, schools will host a variety of activities designed to spark interest in computer science. These events will include coding challenges, workshops, and collaborative projects that emphasize problem-solving and creativity. Students will have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, participate in hands-on experiences, and showcase their skills in various competitions.
The district aims to foster a passion for technology and prepare students for future careers in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. By celebrating this week, CCSD hopes to empower the next generation of innovators and leaders in computer science.
